A tidy plan for your property

Charging advice with the property in view.

Thomson Electrical & Energy Solutions Ltd is an Andersen affiliate partner. We can assess your property, recommend a suitable Andersen option, install it professionally, commission the agreed equipment and provide guidance so you know what has been installed and how to use it.

Assessment first

We consider the charger position, electrical installation and likely cable route before recommending the next step.

A suitable option

Andersen A2 is one option we can discuss where it suits the property and the intended use.

Made for the setting

A tidy installation is planned around the property, whether the setting is domestic, workplace or commercial.

Commissioned and explained

The agreed work is commissioned and we provide customer guidance at handover.

Never remove or break DNO seals.

Thomson credentials

Professional work, with relevant credentials.

Thomson brings experienced electrical installers and professional workmanship to each agreed project. The official suite includes MCS, RECC, TrustMark and the exact NICEIC APPROVED CONTRACTOR label. MCS accreditation is relevant where work includes renewable energy; it does not apply automatically to every EV charger installation.

Questions, answered

Andersen EV installation FAQs

Practical answers before you send the details for your property.

Is an Andersen EV charger suitable for my property?+

The Andersen A2 shown on this page may be suitable, but the right option depends on your vehicle, property, electrical installation and preferred charger location. Thomson will assess those details before making a recommendation.

Can you install an Andersen EV charger at a home or workplace?+

We can discuss suitable domestic, workplace or commercial settings. The installation approach and equipment choice are subject to an assessment of the property and the intended use.

What will Thomson assess before recommending an installation?+

We look at the proposed charger position, the existing electrical installation and the likely route for the supply. The available information and agreed scope determine whether a remote survey or site visit is the appropriate next step.

Can I use the remote survey route?+

Yes. The existing EV remote survey route collects your contact details and explains what information can be shared safely. If anything is unclear or unsafe to access, our engineer can capture it at a site visit.

What electrical requirements are involved?+

The requirements vary with the property, the existing electrical installation, the charger location and the agreed equipment. Thomson will explain any work needed in the recommendation and quotation rather than assuming the same route for every property.

How long does installation take?+

Installation time varies with the property, cable route, electrical work and equipment selected. The expected scope will be discussed with you once the assessment is complete; no fixed duration is promised before then.

What warranty is included?+

Warranty terms depend on the selected equipment and manufacturer. The applicable terms, along with the agreed installation scope, will be explained in the quotation.
